Washington State Field Sobriety Test

Fields sobriety tests are also called FST’s. I like to think of FST’s as flawed science techniques. The three validated tests designed by Government researchers decades ago are: the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, the Walk and Turn, and the One Leg Stand. These three tests alone can secure a guilty verdict. If they are not fought head on with tenacity and a stubborn adherence to trusted principles of science.

Why? Because if not, jurors will buy this junk science hook, line, and sinker. Government witnesses use these tests to convince the jury that you were intoxicated. Truth be told, you could perform these tests whether they have been drinking or not. Under skillful cross examination via lawyer who knows more about these so called “Field Sobriety Tests”, then the Government witnesses, the truth about these tests will emerge.
