Cost for DUI Lawyers
Understanding how much a DUI Lawyer charges is an important part of choosing who is best to represent you. Although the cost of a DUI can be expensive given possible charges for increased insurance, court fines and drug and alcohol assessments, choosing a “cheap” lawyer can be detrimental to your ability to obtain the best result in your case. At Callahan Law, we understand that no one keeps a savings account in anticipation of a DUI charge so we strive to make our fees affordable with Flat Fees, Free In-House Payment Plans and access to a Third Party Lender for convenient financing.
How much does a DUI cost in Washington?
The one thing that everybody knows about DUIs in the state of Washington is they are expensive. It’s certainly going to depend on the facts of your case individually, but they are going to cost probably several thousand dollars, to say the least. So it’s going to start with whether or not you need to hire a private attorney.
Some people might be appointed public defenders by the court, which would be at no cost to them but if you cannot qualify for a public defender, you will need to hire a private attorney like us at Callahan Law. Other things to be taken into consideration as far as the DUI is concerned is the fines that the court could impose upon you. The fines could range from $300.00, a few hundred dollars, all the way up to the maximum allowed by law, which is $5,000.00. One other thing that every case will require is a drug and alcohol evaluation to be completed. The evaluation range in the nature of about $150.00 maybe a little less, maybe a little more depending on where you go and then you will need to complete any follow-up treatment, which is going to be another expense. So certainly, there are a lot of expenses to take into consideration if you find yourself in this unfortunate circumstance but we can certainly help navigate all these things with you at Callahan Law.
